Supporting OxHA

We are always keen to hear from organisations or individuals that are interested in supporting our work – either for individual projects or more broadly. We are developing a menu of proposals – including research programmes (CIH), website projects (particularly as part of www.3four50.com) and youth projects – and would be delighted to hear from anyone thinking of funding an initiative.

For more information, please contact Christine Hancock [email].

Interaction with multiple stakeholders

OxHA is based on the belief that change across many sectors is necessary to achieve sustainable and meaningful public health improvements, and that interaction between sectors such as government, the public health community and industry must be part of this picture.

OxHA has produced 'The Oxford Health Alliance Guidelines for funding and interaction with industry and other sectors'.

Why support OxHA?

Only by pooling resources and thinking will it be possible to identify and implement solutions that will successfully address the global epidemic of chronic disease. OxHA is a forum created to promote the broad multi-stakeholder coalition required to reach this goal. The success of any organisation or company derives, in large part, from the dialogue and relationships that the company has with people, who in one way or another shape public policy and opinion. A partnership with OxHA creates opportunities to work with people who will shape health policy during the next decade.

Additionally, new ideas emerge when leading thinkers meet for discussion – as they do during the OxHA summits, Dialogue meetings and via 3FOUR50. Among these ideas are some that will lead to new ways of thinking about healthcare and the role of prevention. Involvement with OxHA gives an opportunity to be among the first to know about new developments, and provides a chance to help to shape leading-edge solutions for global problems.

While a small organisation like the Oxford Health Alliance cannot solve the challenge of chronic disease prevention on its own, the partnerships it forms can have a significant impact on very large problems in a way that creates important opportunities and value for all those involved.
